Repair Technical Leader – AMRT Lifecycle Engineering

Job Description Summary This position will provide both combustion and hot gas path technical leadership to our engineering team and service centers within the Europe, Middle East and North Africa region dotted line reporting to the AMRT (Advanced Manufacturing and Repair Technology) Lifecycle Engineering Leader. This position is responsible for supporting repair NCRs, service center qualifications (Non-NPI), Kaizen support, RCA support, REI maintenance and other general engineering support to keep our service centers delivering repaired components with a high level of quality. They will collaborate closely with the AMRT development teams in Greenville, Warsaw and Singapore to support the deployment of technologies for new repairs and upgrade modifications for heavy-duty gas turbine components across the Vernova Gas Turbine Fleet. This role is also responsible for working collaboratively with: AMRT Lean Leader, RVS Leadership, Gas Turbine Engineering, Product Line and Customer Service Engineering. Job Description Essential Functions/Responsibilities (Internal) Provide technical leadership for a team of engineers for all aspects of inspection & repair process Create long and short-term component productivity strategies that take into account P&E planning, industry trends, shop environments, field issues and customer needs Understand, model and communicate the AMRT culture and seek ways to integrate it into the broader GE culture. Assist in developing an inspirational leadership organization that coaches team members in building trusting relationships Lead and inspire the search for high impact engineering projects for your team Participate in key initiatives that go beyond your components to include network strategies, organizational strategies, business practice strategies and others Mentor and develop your team members in our organization and our interfacing groups Mentor your team through the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements Collaborate with design engineering and support design reviews for repairs Ensure the documentation of technical data generated by the team is consistent with engineering policies and procedures Communicate progress to all levels of the organization Acts as our technical or domain resource for others in the organization and our customers, often creating and providing training for interfacing groups Make personal and team learning a priority Readily apply learnings from diverse experiences to solve business problems. Qualifications/Requirements: Applicants must meet these qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Materials Engineering, Materials Science, or related engineering field of study from an accredited college or university (this is a must for Hungary) ; or equivalent experience Proven significant experience in engineering Readiness to travel to repair centers, customer sites, and other locations as needed globally (~10%) Fluency in English required Desired: Master’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university Proven experience working in, with, and/or supporting a manufacturing, Services, repair, or design environment Lean training or equivalent quality training Strong mechanical design and analytical background Familiarity with manufacturing processes Ability and established track record to drive projects to completion Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with demonstrated ability to interface effectively with all levels of the organization and external customers Additional Information Relocation Assistance Provided: No #LI-Remote – This is a remote position
