Remote Bookkeeper / Accountant

VirtueStaff is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Remote Bookkeeper / Accountant to join our dedicated financial team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations. The ideal candidate possesses a solid understanding of accounting principles and has a proven track record in bookkeeping or accounting, with the ability to work effectively in a remote environment.

Responsibilities
? Maintain and update financial records, including accounts payable and receivable
? Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
? Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy in financial transactions
? Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
? Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
? Communicate financial information to management and stakeholders clearly
? Utilize accounting software for data entry and financial reporting
? Support audits by providing required documentation and information
? Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, Accountant, or similar role
? Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
? Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or similar tools
? Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
? Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
? Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
? Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting
? Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred
? CPA certification is a plus but not mandatory
