MATH INTERVENTION TEACHER - Remote | WFH

We have an exciting opportunity for a Math Intervention Teacher for the spring semester ending on or about June 14, 2024. This grant-funded position is dedicated to fostering a supportive and challenging learning environment while emphasizing the integration of critical and creative thinking through... the curriculum.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with fellow educators to develop engaging math lesson plans.
Work directly with high school students during Algebra 1, Geometry, and some Algebra 2 classes.
Provide valuable data to grade level teams and actively participate in decisions regarding student progress.
Support students during study blocks, including creating mini-lessons and guiding them in reviewing and revising math assignments.
Collaborate with teachers, administration, and families to identify best practices for individual and small groups of students.
Attend and actively participate in regular grade level and math department collaborative team meetings.
Attend and participate in scheduled meetings with students and/or parents.
Participate in professional development workshops to enhance teaching skills.
Supervise students during non-class times (e.g., breaks and lunch) as needed.
Actively participate in various school-wide events.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in education or a related field.
Two years of experience teaching high school math or providing math tutoring in Algebra 1, Geometry, and Algebra 2.
Eligibility for Highly Qualified Teacher status.
Successful completion of CORI/Fingerprint background check.
Preferred Requirements
Five or more years of experience teaching math in a public or private school.
Experience working with middle school students.
Knowledge of discipline curriculum standards.
Massachusetts teaching license in the subject area.
Sheltered English Immersion endorsement.
Computer literacy, including experience with remote or hybrid teaching if needed.
