Visual Designer (Freelance – Remote, Software Environment) 3–6 Month Contract | 40 Hours/Week | Remote Only considering candidates based in Eastern or Central time zones Our software development client is hiring a freelance Visual Designer to support ongoing product and design needs. This is a fully remote contract role, ideal for someone who thrives in a structured, developer-driven environment. ❗ This is not a fit for agency, branding, or general creative designers — DO NOT APPLY if your experience is not rooted in digital product design. ❗ About the Role You’ll be stepping into an existing design system to continue and maintain Figma files, create web-ready graphics (SVGs), support internal presentation materials, and handle ad hoc design requests across digital platforms. The work is tightly connected to product and web environments, with a focus on clean, UI-adjacent visuals that support developer handoff and internal functionality. Design style is minimal, systematic, and execution-focused. Occasional light animation using Lottie or After Effects may come up, but it's not a core requirement. Who You Are 4+ years of experience in product or visual design, focused on digital products or internal tools Not from a branding, marketing, or agency background — your work lives inside software and platforms Expert in Figma, with a clean, modern portfolio that shows systems thinking and precision Comfortable working in a B2B tech or SaaS environment alongside developers and product teams Self-directed and reliable — able to take clear direction and execute independently Bonus: Familiar with After Effects and Lottie for microanimations (not required) This role is ideal for a designer who enjoys clean execution, understands the needs of software environments, and can plug into an existing system to deliver fast, high-quality visual work — no brand concepting, no campaigns, just thoughtful design production.
