Job Description: • Help advance a cohesive brand narrative that differentiates the company in genomics, rare disease, and precision medicine. • Drive global brand awareness and reputation through consistent messaging, visual identity, and tone of voice across all channels and audiences. • Develop high-impact creative and multimedia content that inspires trust and engagement. • Create a world-class brand that spans audiences across healthcare, advocacy, government, consumers, and biopharma. • Elevate the company’s voice - and its executives - as trusted leaders through strategic speaking opportunities, earned media, and compelling content. • Partner with R&D, Clinical, and Commercial teams to translate complex science and innovation into accessible, high-impact stories. • Position GeneDx executives and experts as trusted voices in genomics, health innovation, and data-driven medicine. • Create a thought leadership roadmap spanning keynotes, panels, podcasts, and editorial contributions. • Lead and align events, media relations, digital and social channels, and multimedia storytelling into a cohesive engagement strategy that amplifies business priorities. • Oversee development of plans tied to business milestones, launches, and growth targets, mapped to business goals and nimble environment. • Develop and oversee original multimedia programs - including podcasts, video storytelling, and educational content - to expand reach and deepen audience connection. • Manage partnerships and vendor relationships that enhance brand storytelling through creative innovation. • Create signature moments - from industry conferences to owned experiences - that drive awareness, engagement, and lead generation. • Ensure all events reinforce the company’s brand positioning and thought leadership agenda with optimized budget and clear ROI. • Expand GeneDx’s presence across digital and social channels through strategic content, thought leadership, and executive and employee amplification programs, with a strong focus on LinkedIn. • Leverage data-driven insights to optimize audience engagement, reach, and performance across platforms. • Define clear success metrics tied to business outcomes. • Deliver regular performance reporting that connects strategic engagement activities to growth outcomes – share of voice, awareness lift, lead generation, and market influence. • Regularly report performance and insights to executive leadership. Requirements: • 15+ years of senior leadership experience in brand, marketing, or strategic engagement - ideally in healthcare, biotech, or genomics. • Proven expertise successfully building and leading world-class teams with demonstrable results. • Proven success leading integrated brand and engagement strategies driving measurable business growth. • Deep experience across earned media, events, digital marketing, and multimedia content (podcast, video, storytelling). • Exceptional storytelling ability, with a talent for translating complex science into clear, compelling narratives. • Strong executive presence and communication skills; adept at influencing and inspiring across all levels of the organization. • Analytical mindset with experience linking brand and engagement metrics to revenue and market outcomes. • Exceptional storytelling, writing, and message-development skills. • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
