About the role As a Sr. Software Engineer on the Internal Tools team, you will drive initiatives that enable our QA and Product teams to move faster and with greater confidence. You’ll determine the right technologies and architect scalable solutions that contribute to a comprehensive quality coverage strategy and track against key performance metrics. You’ll engage in a regular feedback cycle to ensure we’re building what the team really needs. You will leverage your expertise to lead other engineers tasked with tackling larger project demands. What you’ll achieve Implement tools that enhance efficiency and productivity for QA and Development operations Integrate ongoing quality efforts throughout the development process, including build pipelines, automation frameworks, performance metrics, and other internal tooling Establish implementation best practices for the team, ensuring code is optimized for performance and scalability across various environments and project demands Participate in defining the overall Fortis QA advanced test strategy for all projects. What You’ll Need to Be Successful Experience programming in C# or Python Knowledge of AWS cloud services, including S3, EC2, and experience with messaging services. Experience working with CI/CD workflows and platforms such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or TeamCity. Experience in building internal development tools Demonstrated ability to work with multiple teams, identifying project requirements, and ensuring successful delivery. Leadership skills to provide direction and mentoring for junior engineers.
