Spring 2026 College Intern - IT Platform

Univera Healthcare offers a paid co-op/internship experience for undergraduate and graduate students to develop their skills through meaningful projects and workshops. The intern will support Provider platforms, assist with upgrades and application releases, and work on strategic projects under the guidance of a mentor. Responsibilities Specific duties will vary with assignment; specific divisional callouts are listed below The Intern will learn and perform duties pertaining to a Platform Administrator The Intern will participate in supporting our Provider platforms The Intern will support upgrades and application releases, participate in release testing activities, create automation scripts for more efficient administration and testing tasks Works with a mentor and supports key strategic projects Responsible for work assignments and possible responsibilities that vary according to business need and departmental opportunities, in addition to student's qualifications Functions performed are non-technical and/or technical in nature and will cover a broad range of business-related projects Creates and delivers presentation at completion of internship Consistently demonstrates high standards of integrity by supporting the Lifetime Healthcare Companies' mission and values, adhering to the Corporate Code of Conduct, and leading to the Lifetime Way values and beliefs Maintains high regard for member privacy in accordance with the corporate privacy policies and procedures Regular and reliable attendance is expected and required Performs other functions as assigned by management Skills Desired majors include: Computing Sciences & Information Technology (i.e. Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT Networking, Cybersecurity, etc.), Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or similar degree programs High School diploma along with proof of continuous college enrollment (enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or graduate degree program) Must be in good academic standing Excellent communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to communicate to technical and non-technical audiences and interface with staff at all levels of the company Ability to work in a fast-paced changing environment and deliver high quality work product Ability to work well in a team establishing good working relationships with peers Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks with a strong attention to detail Experience using a desktop computer in a professional environment Experience with Microsoft Office Suite Demonstrates strong organizational and prioritization skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Proactive approach to work, displaying creativity and flexibility in completing assigned tasks Commitment to continuous improvement of skills and team functioning Must be self-motivated and able to work independently, as well as on intra- and inter- departmental teams where needed Ability to work while sitting and/or standing at a workstation viewing a computer and using a keyboard, mouse and/or phone for three (3) or more hours at a time Ability to travel across the Health Plan service region for meetings and/or trainings as needed Benefits Participation in group health and/or dental insurance Retirement plan Wellness program Paid time away from work Paid holidays Company Overview Univera Healthcare is a non-profit health plan that provides health services for New Yorkers.
