Specialist, Patient Access – Specialty Operations

Job Description: • Engages with patient, referral source, sales, pharmacy, and nursing to coordinate discharge and secure nursing and delivery. • Creates, communicates and obtains all required documentation for new referrals. • Secures patient’s upfront payment including assisting patients to find avenues for payment where needed (identifies opportunities and directs patient to financial assistance program). • Supports the ongoing activities needed to ensure clean claims on hold and denial management (follow-up on paperwork where missing). • Assist Supervisor and Manager with special assignments as needed. Requirements: • High school diploma or equivalent is required. • Minimum of two years of experience in related experience required. • Ability to multi-task and support numerous referrals/priorities at one time. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. • Must be detail-oriented and have a high degree of quality focus. • High degree of customer service skills required. • Ability to troubleshoot, problem-solve, and collaborate with cross-functional team members across sales and operation functions. • Previous healthcare/medical billing experience preferred.
