They are seeking a Short-Term Disability and Absence Management Disability Analyst to investigate claims and support customers in returning to work after illness or unexpected events while adhering to corporate standards and regulations. Responsibilities Provide exceptional customer service by maintaining a dedication to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers Work within a fast-paced environment that directly interacts with internal and external customers to retrieve or relay information relevant to the Short-Term Disability and Paid Family Leave Claim Utilize critical thinking and mathematical aptitude to gather information, apply sound reasoning and draw appropriate conclusion Utilize business acumen and technical expertise to make sound decisions based upon a mixture of analysis, experience and judgment, with management oversight Help to create a positive team environment that achieves Group Benefit Claims culture initiatives and objectives Skills 1+ years of experience providing quality customer service is required Professional verbal and written communication skills Ability to excel in an ever changing high-volume environment Readily able to champion change and innovation Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain a high-level of quality and accuracy while maintaining productivity targets in a fast-paced environment Ability to thrive in a structured team environment Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and the ability to navigate multiple systems simultaneously 2+ years of claim experience is preferred Associate or Bachelor's Degree is preferred but not required Medical terminology experience is preferred Benefits Short-term or annual bonuses Long-term incentives On-the-spot recognition Company Overview The Hartford is an industry leading provider of property and casualty insurance, group benefits and mutual funds.
