Aprio is a progressive, fast-growing firm looking for a Senior Tax Associate, State Income and Franchise Tax to join their dynamic team.nPosition Responsibilities:Developing strong client relationships on various tax consulting/compliance engagementsAdvising clients on a variety of issues including multistate tax planning, accounting for income taxes, restructuring, audit defense, and due diligencePreparing complex multistate tax compliance and consulting projects requiring tax analysis for entities and their affiliatesResearching and analyzing a wide range of tax issues and tax implications including pass-through entity taxes, apportionment methodology, unitary filings, and nexus considerationsManaging engagement workflow and engagement team resourcesProviding leadership, counseling, and career guidance for the development and motivation of the engagement teamQualifications:2+ years of overall tax experience in business tax returns1-2 years of SALT specific experience, requiredCPA or JD preferredAbility to work with a fully remote teamProblem solving ability in high pressure situationsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and interact effectively at all organizational levelsAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlinesAbility to travel for training or occasional client meetingsnWhy work for Aprio:Whether you are just starting out, looking to advance into management or searching for your next leadership role, Aprio offers an opportunity to grow with a future-focused, innovative firm.
