Senior Project Manager (Healthcare IT & Research Informatics) Are you a seasoned Project Manager who thrives at the intersection of healthcare, technology, and research? We’re looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead complex, high-visibility initiatives that support clinical systems, research data platforms, and enterprise-wide healthcare technology solutions. In this role, you’ll partner with executive leadership, clinicians, researchers, data scientists, and IT teams to deliver strategic programs that directly impact patient care, clinical research, and health system operations. What You’ll Do: • Lead large, complex healthcare IT and research data projects from initiation through closeout • Drive planning and execution across scope, schedule, budget, resources, and risk management • Develop project charters, business cases, ROI analyses, and governance documentation • Coordinate cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment, influencing without direct authority • Partner with clinical researchers, informatics teams, and data scientists to support research data acquisition and utilization • Manage vendors and third-party partners delivering outsourced project components • Provide clear, executive-level communication through status reports, presentations, and stakeholder updates • Ensure compliance with healthcare, research, and information security standards What You Bring: • 5+ years of experience leading IT projects, preferably in healthcare or academic medical environments • Strong command of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices • Experience with healthcare systems, EMRs, and clinical or research data platforms • Proven ability to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the confidence to engage senior leadership • High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a results-driven mindset Nice to Have: • Experience supporting clinical research or clinical trials • Familiarity with healthcare data standards such as HL7, CDA, or FHIR • Exposure to academic medical centers or health informatics programs • Experience with Cerner EMR, cloud platforms (AWS), or large-scale data environments Why This Role: This is an opportunity to lead mission-critical healthcare and research initiatives, work with highly collaborative stakeholders, and make a measurable impact across a medical enterprise through technology and data-driven solutions.
