Your Key Responsibilities The team consists of highly motivated, innovative, customer focused engineers and engineering leaders. We are optimizing our engineering for the cloud first with a faster cadence of releases to deliver innovation at an exciting pace. Our team works in an agile start-up like environment where we expect each team member to think out of the box to contribute and collaborate towards the mission of the team in a feature-crew setting. As part of this team, you would get exciting opportunities to work on cutting edge technologies across a variety of platforms to build the next generation application experiences for MSCI and revolutionize the way the financial world operates. We are looking for individuals to self-starters who grow into Subject Matter Experts or technical leaders in design and implementation for the next generation cloud platform capabilities we are building. These capabilities must also scale out to support active usage around the world by thousands of customers 24x7. You will be expected to work collaboratively within the team and provide technical oversight to feature crews, work through competing priorities, and solve complex technical challenges to meet business goals and maintain live site availability. Your skills and experience that will help you excel BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering or related fields 5+ years of experience of developing business applications 3+ years of experience with JVM based languages (ex. Java, Kotlin, Scala) Experience with microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, NoSQL, fault tolerant software and cloud-based applications No experience in the financial industry required Strong skills in software architecture, object-oriented design, refactoring, concurrency design Good English language skills and communication skills Preferred Qualifications Experience with reactive frameworks and systems is plus Experience building applications on the Azure platform is a plus Some understanding of IT infrastructure architecture is a plus About MSCI What we offer you Transparent compensation schemes and comprehensive employee benefits, tailored to your location, ensuring your financial security, health, and overall wellbeing.
