Seasonal JSG Tax Delivery Manager

About the position The Seasonal JSG Tax Delivery Manager at Deloitte is a leadership role focused on managing tax compliance for global clients, particularly in the context of individual income tax returns. This position requires a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of the regulatory landscape and the ability to communicate effectively in both English and Japanese. The role involves direct correspondence with individual taxpayers, document translation, and coordination with team members to ensure efficient tax return delivery processes. This seasonal opportunity is expected to begin in Spring 2025, with potential for extension based on mutual agreement. Responsibilities • Correspondence in Japanese (written and verbal) with individual taxpayers to collect data required to complete their US individual income tax return. • Field questions from individual taxpayers regarding access to and completion of the US tax organizer in Japanese. • Outline the tax return delivery process to individual taxpayers, including consultation on accessing Deloitte's secure portal, in Japanese. • Translate documents from Japanese to English for use in the US tax compliance process. • Translate the updated About Me tax organizer from English to Japanese for broad roll-out to JSG client users. • Coordinate the missing tax data collection process and tax return delivery process with US and US India team members in English. Requirements • Ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model that requires US Tax professionals to co-locate in person 2-3 days per week. • Fluent in both English and Japanese (i.e. fully bilingual). • 5+ years of experience in global mobility compliance or personal income tax and compliance. • Experience in managing people, client interaction, and sales. • Office/Technical skills including Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, QlikView, and Tableau. • Minimum of a bachelor's degree. • One of the following accreditations: Licensed CPA, Licensed Attorney, Enrolled Agent, GPHR, CEP, CEBS, CPC, CPP, PMP, or Workday Certification. Nice-to-haves • Master's degree or equivalent in a related field. • Global experience (foreign language skills, lived/studied abroad, strong cultural awareness). • Strong analytical, consultative, quantitative, and project management skills. • Strong communication (verbal & written) and presentation skills. • Attention to detail with a focus on quality; deadline and results-driven. • Leadership skills in managing client relationships and developing customized solutions.
