About Us: Pro•Team Foodservice Advisors is a dynamic consulting firm dedicated to enhancing foodservice operations for school district clients across the United States. We specialize in crafting tailored solutions that align with our clients' goals, leveraging our deep industry expertise to deliver comprehensive and effective strategies. We are currently seeking a School Menu Consultant to join our team of Registered Dietitians. This remote role is ideal for candidates based in or within reasonable driving distance of one of the following states: Michigan, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Indiana, Kentucky or Ohio who are passionate about child nutrition and committed to supporting school districts with menu compliance and optimization. Role Overview: As a School Menu Consultant, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining cost-effective, USDA-compliant menus for assigned school district clients. You will utilize a USDA-approved K-12 menu planning software to input and manage data, ensuring that all nutritional and ingredient information is accurate and current. This role also provides training and support to our clients, both virtually and in person (as requested). Key Responsibilities: • Input and manage menu data in the software based on provided ingredients, recipes, and menus. • Collaborate with school districts to design menus that comply with all local, state, and federal regulations, while promoting participation in the USDA child nutrition programs. • Update and maintain accurate manufacturer data and district recipes, including pricing, allergen information, nutrition facts, and ingredient details. • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, manufacturers, and vendors. • Assist districts in preparing for administrative reviews. • Provide training and support to clients on meal pattern compliance, production records, and menu software updates. • Participate in weekly team meetings. • Engage in additional company initiatives, such as standardized recipe development, marketing, fresh eyes reviews, and other projects as assigned. Qualifications: • Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credentialed by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR). • Minimum of two years of professional experience in K-12 school foodservice. • Experience in a district menu planner role is preferred. • Strong knowledge of USDA child nutrition program regulations. • Proficiency in USDA-approved K-12 menu planning software and G Suite applications. • Exceptional attention to detail, with strong customer service, problem-solving, and collaboration skills. • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Working Hours and Compensation: • Estimated 15-20 hours per week to start, with potential to increase to 25-30 hours per week or more based on demand and availability. • Compensation is biweekly, with rates commensurate with experience. • Travel expenses covered as incurred. • Accrue Combined Time Off (CTO) based on average work hours. • Company-provided cell phone and laptop.
