[Remote] SQL Data Reliability Engineer (Postgres) - 100% Remote - 6 Months Contract

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Dexperts Inc is seeking a SQL Data Reliability Engineer to enhance the reliability and observability of their data systems. The role involves working with various technologies to support developers and ensure system uptime while collaborating with development teams to implement best practices. Responsibilities • Enhancing the reliability and observability of our data systems, working in multiple technologies such as Google Cloud Platform, PostgreSQL, PgBouncer, Redis, and Datadog • Building automation and tooling, and providing expertise, to support our developers and their fleet of PostgreSQL databases and Redis instances • Collaborating with development teams to help them reach their goals and spread best practices throughout the engineering organization • Ensuring system uptime and playing a critical role in system recovery Skills • Knowledge of cloud infrastructure (especially Google Cloud Platform), distributed systems, observability, and reliability best practices • Deep experience administering production databases, especially PostgreSQL • Golang or Python development experience; especially writing APIs to build, orchestrate and manage cloud infrastructure • Hands-on experience in Helm, Kubernetes workloads, and custom K8s operators to build and support self-service database infrastructure and tooling • Excellent communicator with eagerness to collaborate, exchange knowledge, and apply new skills • Experience building and maintaining tools for internal development teams • Keen eye for identifying and implementing database optimizations • Experience successfully leading the execution of strategic projects • Authorized to work lawfully in the United States of America as client does not engage in immigration sponsorship at this time Company Overview • Welcome to Jobs via Dice, the go-to destination for discovering the tech jobs you want.
