Remote Data Contributor (No experience needed)
Position : Data Contributor Study Location : Remote Task duration : Up to 1 hour Engagement Model : One-time, task based At DataForce by TransPerfect we’re currently seeking participants residing in the USA to join our Orchid Remote Audio Collection project What is the project about? The purpose of this project is to collect audio recordings to improve voice recognition technologies and the performance of virtual assistants. This opportunity focuses specifically on African American voices to help reduce bias and make these systems more inclusive. Task description: You will need to record a total of 20 minutes of short prompts on an iPhone using our DataForce Contribute app. All recordings must be completed indoors, using the device’s internal microphone (no external mics or accessories allowed). Who is eligible? To participate you should meet the following qualifying criteria: - Be 18 or older. - Self-identify as African American or African. - Reside in the United States. - Be fluent in English. - Have an iPhone 11 or newer model to complete the task. Where is the project taking place? This is a fully remote project. You can participate from the comfort of your home or preferred location within the US (except Illinois, Washington, and Texas). How much is the compensation? You will receive $30 USD for your participation. How long does it take? We estimate it will take up to 1 hour to complete the task of recording the 20 minutes of audio.
