Product Manager (Technical) – Sr. Consultant level

About the position Visa Technology & Operations LLC, a Visa Inc. company, needs a Product Manager (Technical) – Sr. Consultant level (multiple openings) in Foster City, CA to: Define and document detailed functional and non-functional requirements for OVN. These range from payment capabilities provided by VisaNet today, interfaces to other Visa systems or requirements for OVN technical components. Work with Visa SMEs and Analysts to articulate existing system behavior at a detailed technical level, through analysis of existing specifications and code. Write Features and Stories and manage the prioritized Team Backlog. Work with Visa product teams and other stakeholders to ensure OVN capabilities are aligned with Visa product strategy. Work with Architects and development teams to ensure detailed requirements are accurate, complete and can be understood by a diverse group of users. Collaborate with the quality assurance team on creation of testing artifacts. Coach development teams on the specific processing requirements of Visa switching, clearing and settlement in relationship to OVN requirements. Participate as needed in presentations to and discussions with key clients and stakeholders to share details about OVN and its value to the payment processing environment. Consult on a regular basis with leadership to align expectations and prioritize deliverables. Lead Team Demos and contribute to Retrospectives. International travel required 5% of the time. Position reports to the employer’s Foster City, CA office and may allow for partial telecommuting. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Business, or related field, followed by 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a business intelligence-related occupation • Alternatively, a Master’s degree in Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Business, or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a business intelligence-related occupation. • Requirements Analysis. • Product Backlog Refinement. • Business Systems & Tech Partner Integration Analysis. • Technical Product Management of Engineering Team (Agile Scrum methodology). • Participation in Product Strategy Discussions. • Expertise in Payment Processing Tech. • Static Code Analysis (C++, SQL). • Project Management tools (Jira). • Service Oriented Architecture as a target operating model. • Business Intelligence/Data Analysis Tools (MicroStrategy, Power BI, Tableau, Denodo). • Translating functional & non-functional specs to technical requirements. • Slide Deck and presentation skills for driving process adoption and product improvements.
