Online Programs Advisor
About the position The Online Programs Advisor at Colorado State University Pueblo is responsible for providing comprehensive student advising and enrollment support for online programs. This role involves managing a caseload of students, assisting them from enrollment to graduation, and connecting them with various resources to enhance their educational experience. The advisor will also monitor enrollment targets and recommend outreach activities to promote program growth. Responsibilities • Provide comprehensive advising and manage a caseload of new, continuing, and transfer students attending CSU Pueblo online programs. • Facilitate successful onboarding of students and develop structured student success plans to maximize retention and persistence. • Utilize enrollment management systems to track academic progress and provide proactive outreach interventions. • Assist students in navigating the registration process, including course selection and enrollment. • Maintain student files and records in accordance with applicable laws and policies. • Monitor inquiries and applicant data to ensure progress towards enrollment targets. • Provide information on admission requirements, academic programs, and financial aid. • Recommend outreach activities and assist in preparing program information and promotional materials. Requirements • Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution. • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs. • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing. • Experience in a position requiring excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills. Nice-to-haves • Master's or Doctoral degree from a regionally accredited institution. • Strong written and interpersonal skills. • Demonstrated work experience in student advising and knowledge of Financial Aid. • Experience with Banner or similar SIS system. • Experience with FERPA.
