Overview: MRI Technologist – PRN MedQuest Outpatient Imaging – Columbia, SC As a PRN MRI Technologist, you’ll play a vital role in delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging and compassionate patient care. You’ll integrate scientific knowledge and technical skills with effective patient interaction to ensure a remarkable experience for every patient. This PRN role includes coverage for Saturdays and support during staffing shortages, helping to reduce weekend overtime for full-time staff while maintaining smooth operations and excellent patient service. Responsibilities: • Perform MRI scans efficiently and accurately, ensuring patient comfort and safety • Review patient history and physician orders to determine optimal scanning parameters • Screen patients for contraindications and prepare them for procedures • Administer contrast agents per regulations and monitor patient status throughout the exam • Evaluate images for diagnostic quality and determine if additional scans are needed • Document patient and procedure data accurately and timely • Maintain workflow efficiency and support weekend coverage to reduce overtime for full-time staff • Promote a safe, clean, and compliant work environment • Deliver exceptional patient care and uphold MedQuest’s customer service standards • Participate in continuing education and cross-training opportunities #ZR Qualifications: Education: • Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program • ARRT registered with advanced registry in MRI • Must complete required CEU’s in a timely manner to ensure Certification remains active • Active state licensure, where applicable • CPR Certification is required Prior Experience: • 0+ years of experience as a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist, required • 2+ years of experience as an MRI Technologist, preferred Special Qualifications: • IV skills required • Knowledge of MRI procedures and standards • Demonstrate adequate knowledge of anatomy • Skill in operation of MRI equipment • Customer service background and focus Company Message: About MedQuest Imaging Founded in 1996, MedQuest is one of the most experienced outpatient imaging providers in the United States.
