Title: Metadata Analyst Location: Addison, TX; Charlotte, NC; Chicago, IL or Denver, CO Job Description: Metadata Analyst will be responsible for working with various enterprise level and local data management, governance, and data quality teams as well as technology teams. Will contribute to efforts to capture and manage the business glossary, data dictionaries/catalogue, taxonomies, data lineage, and all forms of business, technical and operational metadata within the Metadata Repository. Responsibilities will include: Work closely with Data Owners in the identification and documentation of business and technical metadata. Monitor periodic loads of metadata into the repository to confirm successful load, indexing, and linking. Assist in documenting source to target data mapping, transformations and controls. Assist in creating procedures and workflows to support metadata management and usage on metadata repository. Maintain high level of knowledge and expertise related to metadata. Ensure quality and integrity of metadata. Facilitate consistent adoption of metadata standards across the line of business, demonstrating the value added by adoption. Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to design and implement metadata usage and reporting metrics. Support metadata distribution and usage across the line of business. Facilitate metadata working sessions with business and technical stakeholders. ¿General Skills Strong technical and analytical skills, as well as hands-on experience with metadata management platforms. Ability to work independently on initiatives with little oversight. Motivated and willing to learn. Strong ability to organize, prioritize, and dive into details. Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint. Strong interpersonal skills are needed to gain cooperation from various stakeholders.
