Medical Records Paralegal (WFH)

Remote, USA Full-time
M edical Chronologies: Review and analyze extensive medical records and bills. Create detailed medical chronologies (“MedChrons”) that consolidate key medical events into a concise document. For instance, when a case note states, “Their elbow hurts. We’re gonna MRI. Here’s what the MRI says,” the paralegal must transform this narrative into a clear, organized chronology—reducing hundreds of pages of documentation to a manageable report (around 20 pages). Billing Summaries: Prepare accurate billing summaries that align with the medical chronology, ensuring that all financial details are clearly documented and separated from the clinical history. Documentation & Organization: Ensure all documentation is well-organized and complies with HIPAA and data security standards. Adapt presentation formats as needed (e.g., separating billing information from medical history) to meet the firm’s requirements. High-Volume Efficiency: Manage a high volume of work with precision and speed, without the need for extensive training—candidates must already possess proven expertise. Requirements Demonstrated experience in analyzing and summarizing medical records and bills . Proven track record in creating medical chronologies and billing summaries . Candidates must provide samples of previous work (medical chronologies and billing summaries) during the interview process to verify their proficiency and methodology. Technical and Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously. Experience with billing for services rendered is required. Communication Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills. Self-Sufficiency: The ideal candidate will already know how to execute these tasks. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that the documentation provided is both accurate and immediately useful to the legal team. Originally posted on Himalayas
