Manager - Inventory and Cost Accountant

Description: Summary: The successful candidate will be an analytical, self-motivated individual who is experienced in accounting and financial analysis and who wishes to work in a high-growth, dynamic environment. The Inventory and Cost Accountant is responsible for inventory valuation and tracking production costs, including labor, materials, and overhead. Supports standard cost preparation and assists with month-end close, inventory counts, and cost analysis. The Inventory and Cost Accountant will be hands-on supporting the Operations team and assisting the Controller and executive team in producing analysis and influencing strong financially informed decisions. The position will interact with all levels of colleagues throughout the organization to ensure COGS and inventory activity are recorded in accordance with GAAP. Primary Job Responsibilities This position is responsible for: • Assist in the close process of Financial Statements on a monthly and quarterly basis and in support of Company 10Q/K filings. • Oversee and reconcile all Inventory and COGS accounts on a monthly basis; oversee standard costing processes, direct labor and overhead calculations and transfer pricing. • Oversee United Kingdom and other Outside US (OUS) accounting, including annual UK statutory audit. • Act as liaison between Accounting team and Rockaway Assembly team supporting them with Inventory Adjustments, Annual Physical Inventory and Cycle Counts, etc. Requirements: II. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in accounting. CPA Certification a plus, but not a requirement • 5+ years of accounting experience, specifically in a manufacturing organization • Critical thinking and high attention to detail • Strong mathematical and analytical skills • Advanced level of Excel knowledge • Detail-oriented; must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills • Experience collaborating cross0functionally with different business stakeholders, clients and teams. • Working knowledge of ERP systems either Netsuite or similar Apply tot his job
