Macro Strategy Analyst

## What You Will Do Monitor markets and inform trading desks about the potential impact of company news flow, (geo)political developments and broader market trends Develop an informed opinion to explain observed market movements, project theoretical opening values of products traded while keeping Traders informed of these changes and their effects Use systems and alerts to receive and analyse opportunities Gather research for back testing purposes and report on results to relevant desks Initiate and manage projects to broaden and deepen the level of coverage prepared by the Macro Strategy team Report to Head of Trading and Amsterdam Headquarters on daily events including but not limited to spread movements and corporate actions ## What You Need to Succeed Degree in Economics, Finance or a related quantitative background in Math, Physics and/or Econometrics. Minimum 2 years of experience as an analyst in the financial industry Interest in and thorough knowledge of financial instruments (all asset classes, with particular emphasis on Equities, FX, Rates, Commodities and the related derivatives) and macroeconomics Experience in Asia-Pacific Equities, Index Methodology, or Commodities Futures are a plus Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail Well-versed in Excel and Bloomberg Terminal, experience with Data Analysis (in Python) is a plus. Naturally curious, research oriented, creative and able to see interconnections with ease Ability to make independent and informed decisions while being aware of the team around you Possess the ability to multitask and deliver under pressure Excellent communication skills (daily presentations, contact with trading desks and written analyses) Apply tot his job
