Req Id: 37155 Job Title: Limited Term Lecturer, Communication City: Hammond Job Description: Job Summary The Department of Communication & Creative Arts is seeking applications for Limited Term Lecturers (LTLs) in English. LTL positions are temporary, non-benefits eligible, part-time positions hired each semester on an as-needed basis. The Primary Responsibilities of successful candidates will be to: • Teach on campus and/or online courses in introductory Communications courses; including public speaking • Follow the syllabus and curricula provided. • Maintain office hours and provide feedback to students in a timely manner. • Maintain FERPA and Title X certification • Assist with program-related duties and administrative tasks, including placement, orientation, proctoring, student evaluations, curriculum and program review • Understand and adhere to University policies and guidelines • Have competency in effective and appropriate online (synchronous and asynchronous) delivery and in-person instruction Education, Experience, Training and/or Certifications • Master's degree in Communication or a related field (minimum 18 hours of graduate work in Communications) • Strong interpersonal, presentation, and written and verbal communication skills • Demonstrated experience teaching at the college level or relevant professional experience • Demonstrated ability to communicate both orally and in writing in English University Overview Purdue University Northwest (PNW), is a premier metropolitan university dedicated to empowering transformational change in our students and in our community.
