The Employment Development Department (EDD) is one of the largest State departments in California, dedicated to connecting job seekers and employers. They are seeking an Information Technology Specialist I to lead project management efforts related to IT business processes, ensuring alignment with best practices to support customer needs. Responsibilities Lead oversight and project management efforts related to the analysis and development of IT business processes Ensure ISD aligns with sound business practices and IT best practices to support both internal and external customer needs Foster collaboration to re-engineer operations and embed improved processes into daily business activities Work closely with other IT Branch divisions and EDD departments to maintain quality and continuity across implemented processes Consult with Deputy Directors, Division Chiefs, senior management, customers, vendors, and partners on matters concerning ISD’s IT business processes Actively participate in work-groups to promote consistency across ISD and EDD’s broader business environment Support business strategies and technology plans through collaboration with the ISD team, IT Branch, and other organizational units Justify, defend, negotiate, and resolve significant or complex issues effectively Skills Ability to justify, defend, negotiate, and resolve significant or complex issues effectively Experience in project management related to the analysis and development of IT business processes Ability to foster collaboration to re-engineer operations and embed improved processes into daily business activities Experience consulting with Deputy Directors, Division Chiefs, senior management, customers, vendors, and partners on matters concerning IT business processes Participation in work-groups to promote consistency across IT divisions and broader business environment Ability to support business strategies and technology plans through collaboration with teams and organizational units Company Overview When you turn to us, we have a program that can help you reach your goals.
