Help Desk Support Specialist – REMOTE (Part-Time and Full-Time)

We are seeking a Help Desk Support Specialist to join our remote IT support team. The ideal candidate will provide technical assistance and customer service to employees and clients experiencing hardware, software, or system-related issues. This role is available for both part-time and full-time candidates and offers the flexibility to work from home while supporting our growing organization. Key Responsibilities Respond promptly to technical support requests via email, chat, phone, or ticketing systems. Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues for end users. Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, applications, and peripherals remotely. Escalate complex issues to higher-level IT staff or vendors as needed. Maintain accurate records of user interactions, incidents, and resolutions in the help desk system. Provide step-by-step guidance to non-technical users in a clear and professional manner. Monitor system performance and assist with regular maintenance tasks. Contribute to documentation, FAQs, and self-service resources to improve user experience. Support onboarding and offboarding processes (user account setup, permissions, access). Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field preferred). 1–3 years of experience in IT support, technical assistance, or customer service (remote support experience a plus). Strong understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and network troubleshooting. Familiarity with operating systems such as Windows, macOS, and basic Linux. Experience with help desk or ticketing software (e.g., Zendesk, Freshdesk, ServiceNow, Jira). Excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting. Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Professional are a plus.
