Flight Safety Programs Co-op

Support Delta’s Flight Safety programs by assisting in investigations, data analysis, and safety promotion initiatives. Your Role Key responsibilities include: • Supporting the Flight Safety Accident/Incident Investigation Team, FOQA, ASAP, and Pilot Fatigue programs • Collecting factual investigative data including damage, injury, meteorological, crew background, human performance, and flight recorder data • Collaborating with Corporate Safety and Flight Operations teams to support safety initiatives • Partnering with the Safety Assurance Team to analyze safety reporting data to track, trend, and resolve aviation hazards • Assisting with safety promotion by writing safety articles, drafting presentations, and representing Delta Flight Safety at meetings About You The company is looking for candidates who meet the following qualifications: • Enrolled full-time undergraduate student at a 4-year academic institution • Minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4-point scale • Available to work full-time for 3 alternating semesters: Spring 2026, Fall 2026, and Summer 2027 • Cannot take courses while working as a Co-op, which may delay graduation by 1-2 semesters • Ability to work onsite in Atlanta, GA for the duration of the Co-op • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Project management and personal management skills • Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data • Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles • Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent • At least 18 years old with authorization to work in the United States Preferred qualifications include: • Degree specialization in Aviation • Valid passport and ability to travel up to 20% for company business • Flight experience • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Project, Visio, SharePoint, PowerPoint, and Outlook • Highly motivated with a passion for safety and learning Career Progression Working as a Co-op/Intern provides educational and professional work experience to prepare for the workforce; however, it does not guarantee a full-time opportunity at Delta Air Lines upon graduation.
