Job Summary We're seeking an experienced Patient Coordinator to join our remote team. As a Patient Coordinator, you'll be the first point of contact for patients seeking medical assistance and support from their doctor. Your primary responsibility will be to build trust, provide compassion, and accurately document patient needs prior to their consultation with a nurse. Key Responsibilities Provide exceptional customer service to patients, responding to their inquiries, and addressing their concerns in a timely and professional manner. Accurately document patient needs, medical history, and other relevant information to ensure seamless communication with healthcare professionals. Utilize customized scripting to build trust and provide empathy to patients, ensuring a positive experience throughout their interaction with our team. Collaborate with nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely and effective patient care. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, adhering to HIPAA guidelines and regulations. Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in patient coordination and healthcare support. Requirements To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess the following qualifications and skills: Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's Degree preferred. Experience: 1+ years of customer service experience required; 1-2 years of healthcare experience desired. Skills: Excellent communication, organizational, and computer skills; ability to multitask while speaking with patients; professional, courteous telephone voice; and ability to defuse conversations and escalate if necessary. Certifications: HIPAA experience is a plus; bilingual Patient Coordinators must be able to converse in Spanish and document in English simultaneously. Work Environment: Reliable high-speed internet connection required; cable internet provider recommended; satellite internet and cellular hotspots not acceptable; and a HIPAA-compliant workspace must be provided during training and regular shifts. Benefits and Perks We offer a competitive compensation package, including: Base Pay: $17.00 per hour. Additional Incentives/Shift Differentials: An additional $1 per hour for shifts between 3pm-7am eastern time Monday through Thursday; an additional $3 per hour for weekend shifts starting at 3p eastern Friday and ending 7am eastern on Monday; and an additional $1 per hour for Spanish-speaking staff (testing required).
