Job Summary The Lead Director - Data Science, Patient Safety Analytics will play a critical role in driving the development of advanced analytics solutions to improve patient safety and pharmacy operations. This position will report to the Senior Vice President - Patient Health and Pharmacy Operations Analytics and will lead a team of data scientists to design, develop, and implement innovative solutions using artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) techniques. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data science, analytics, and leadership, with a passion for improving patient outcomes and driving business growth. Key Responsibilities: Lead the development of advanced analytics solutions to improve patient safety and pharmacy operations, using AI and ML techniques Collaborate with business leaders and stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement and prioritize analytics initiatives Design, develop, and implement solutions to prevent patient safety events, using data-driven approaches and AI/ML models Lead and mentor a team of data scientists, providing guidance and feedback to ensure high-quality solutions and career growth Communicate complex analytics results and insights to non-technical stakeholders, using clear and compelling narratives Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including business leaders, clinicians, and technology partners Requirements Essential Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field, such as computer science, statistics, or mathematics 6+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or a related field, with a focus on AI/ML and data-driven solutions 8+ years of experience in the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile development, with a focus on data and analytics Strong leadership and management skills, with experience leading high-performing teams and driving business growth Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and persuade stakeholders Proficiency in programming languages, such as Python, R, or SQL, and experience with data science tools and technologies Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in a quantitative field, such as computer science, statistics, or mathematics Experience with cloud-based technologies, such as AWS or Azure, and data management platforms Strong knowledge of AI/ML techniques, including deep learning and natural language processing Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI, and data storytelling Familiarity with healthcare industry trends and regulations, including HIPAA and patient safety standards What We Offer Compensation and Benefits: We offer a competitive salary range of $70,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
