Key Responsibilities As a Home Care RN with Amedisys, your key responsibilities will include: Performing patient assessments and collaborating with the care team to develop and implement a plan of care Making referrals to other disciplines as indicated by the patient's identified needs or documenting rationale for not doing so Promoting patient health and independence through teaching and appropriate rehabilitative measures, assisting patients in learning appropriate self-care techniques Supervising LPNs and HHAs Completing documentation timely and accurately Regularly communicating patient progress to the clinical manager and care team Planning and providing staff education Performing on-call responsibilities and on-call services to patients/families as assigned Participating in clinical development and continuing education programs Other duties as assigned Qualifications and Requirements To be considered for this exciting opportunity as a Home Care RN with Amedisys, you must meet the following qualifications and requirements: Current RN license, specific to the state(s) you are assigned to work One (1+) year of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) Current CPR certification Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and liability insurance Note - If less than 6 months clinical experience as a RN, candidate must participate in RN Intern program Essential Skills and Competencies To succeed as a Home Care RN with Amedisys, you will need to possess the following essential skills and competencies: Strong clinical skills and knowledge of home health care principles and practices Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong organizational and time management skills Compassion, empathy, and kindness What We Offer At Amedisys, we are committed to supporting our team members in their professional growth and development.
