As a licensed adjuster you will learn to evaluate low complexity auto insurance claims to determine whether Elephant can pay for the claims and, if so, how much will be paid. Our adjusters assist our customers who have just been in an accident by guiding the customer through the claims process from the start all the way through to closely managing the customers vehicle repair process. These adjusters are essential to our customers satisfaction and must be passionate about customer service. This role offers a unique opportunity for professional development as Elephant is a growing company that encourages internal promotions and growth. • *This is a full time work from home position, to ensure productivity in a home environment, applicants must meet the space and technology requirements outlined below.** • *Work at Home Requirements:** • A dedicated workspace that is free from background noise and distractions of any kind during business hours. • A reliable high-speed broadband Internet service provider with a connection speed of at least 5 megabytes. A speed test will be required. • Ability for Ethernet cable to be physically connected to carrier by the router or modem. • *Responsibilities:** • Provide superior customer service • Assist customers with the initial processing of vehicle claims • Manage and route inbound general customer claims inquiry calls • Help customers with questions regarding their claims • Provide general support to all teams in the Claims department by filing claims and following up on them • Work with more experienced claims associates to learn how to handle complex claims • Enter and document new claims which are received via live calls and/or vendor paper notices of loss • Process automobile insurance claims by doing the following • Collect statements from each party • Assess automobile damages • Arrange estimates for repairs • Assess liability and notifies each party of liability • Arrange payments for repairs • Manage rental and repair process for customers • Investigate automobile insurance claims by doing the following • Research previous claims and accidents • Verify that all statements are accurate • Request police reports and other evidence if necessary • Assist in Catastrophe situations • Able to sit at a desk and work on a computer for 8-hour workdays with breaks and lunch time provided • Ability to be on the phone for 8-hour workdays • Manual dexterity to type on computer • *Required Qualifications:** • High school diploma or equivalent • Ability to multi-task, organize, and work efficiently • Basic math, computer, and typing skills • Demonstrated communication skills and ability to resolve conflicts • Attention to detail and analytical skills • Talent for investigation and research • Positive attitude and willingness to adapt • **Must be a resident of Maryland** • *Preferred Qualifications:** • Prior work from home experience • Bachelors degree • 2 4 years of customer service or claims experience • Experience with arenaflex Office programs such as Word, Excel, and Outlook Elephant Insurance Service LLC is an equal opportunity employer. • *Qualifications** • *Skills** • *Behaviors** • *:** • *Motivations** • *:** • *Education** • *Experience** • *Licenses & Certifications** Apply Job!
