Documentation Manager

In this role, you will lead a talented team of technical writers focused on developing and maintaining the customer and developer documentation that allow Chainalysis users to fully realize the value of our products. You will oversee the lifecycle of documentation requests while maintaining a high level of cross-departmental collaboration. You will also review content for accuracy, effectiveness, and adherence to our style guide. Our team values curiosity, cross-functional team collaboration, and a devotion to craft. Maintain weekly 1:1s, career growth conversation opportunities, and other meetings to understand how your reports are doing and how to support them. In one year you’ll know you were successful if… You feel fully confident collaborating with key stakeholders to influence the product roadmap, identify opportunities, and make decisions based on impact to Chainalysis users. You consistently empower and manage the writers on your team to do the best work of their careers. You have developed an efficient process for managing and prioritizing documentation needs. You both welcome and actively solicit feedback from cross-functional teams to build better work processes and cultivate your partnerships. You are devoted to excellence and continually raise the bar for quality at Chainalysis. You evaluate available metrics and make recommendations on the prioritization of projects using data driven decision making. A background like this helps: 5+ years experience as a technical writer, UX writer, or similar role. 2+ years of experience as a manager. Proven work experience managing a team of technical writers. Excellent writer and communicator with extreme attention to detail. Strong stakeholder management skills with an ability to work across departments. Confidence in executing tasks independently and working with remote team members. Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently and make independent judgments. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines effectively. Experience managing a knowledge base for multiple software as a service (SaaS) products.
