There is potential for the internship to be extended beyond the initial 12 weeks. Compensation is $20 per hour.About The RoleWe're hiring a Digital Design Intern who lives and breathes creativity. You'll join the internal marketing team at a high-performing agency where everything ladders up to bold, strategic outcomes. In this role, you won't just "make graphics." You'll concept, design, and refine visual assets that power campaigns across digital channels. From ads and branding pieces to web and video content, your work will help bring Directive's creative vision to life.We're looking for someone who's already honing their craft by building a strong design portfolio, experimenting with new tools, and pushing their own creative boundaries. You should be a junior or senior currently studying graphic design, visual communications, or a related field. You have a sharp eye for detail, a passion for visual storytelling, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, feedback-driven environment. If you love transforming ideas into visuals that perform, and want to grow your career in a cutting-edge agency setting, this role is built for you.What You'll Do: Plan, visualize, and execute creative assets for paid ads, website, social media, email campaigns, and branding initiativesEnsure all design work aligns with Directive's brand guidelines while finding opportunities to inject fresh, creative ideasCreate static graphics, motion assets, and video edits that elevate Directive's brand across channelsPrepare and package files in the correct formats and specifications for digital platforms, ad placements, and occasional print projectsCollaborate with the marketing team to bring campaigns to life and adapt designs based on performance insightsResearch design trends and identify innovative creative ideas that can be tested in the B2B marketing spaceRevise and refine work quickly based on team feedback while maintaining a sharp eye for detail and design qualityBalance creativity with performance by developing visuals that are both visually compelling and strategically effectiveThrive in a fast-paced environment by managing multiple design requests at once while meeting deadlines and maintaining qualityContribute to larger branding projects such as rebrands, design system updates, presentation decks, and internal marketing campaigns as they appear and if Senior Designer requests assistanceWhat You'll Bring:Currently a junior or senior pursuing a degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field (or a recent grad ready to create bold work)A portfolio that demonstrates your design skills across static and motion assets for business related projects, with bonus points for B2B or digital marketing projectsThese projects can be school related or self-inspired projectsProficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere) and FigmaStrong sense of typography, layout, color, and visual hierarchy, with the ability to apply those principles across platformsA genuine passion for design and creativity, paired with the discipline to meet deadlines and deliver at agency speedA sharp eye for detail and the ability to refine work quickly based on team feedbackA curious, experiment-driven mindset (you're not afraid to test new formats and push creative boundaries)Extra credit if you have video creation skillsBonus points if you have experience designing assets for digital channels (Meta, Google Ads, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.)Work Environment RequirementsAs a remote-first company, you'll have the ability to work from your home office. For some positions, as posted, we will accommodate global opportunities where we have established businesses, including Canada, Mexico, and the UK. For global locations, you must have established and current work authorization and permanently reside in that country.This role has the opportunity to operate 100% virtually from your home office. We primarily collaborate with our colleagues through virtual meetings (Zoom), and Slack. In this role, you will be required to operate a laptop computer (PC or Mac available), computer software platforms, and other office productivity tools as necessary.
