About the position Responsibilities • Collaborate with radiation oncologists and medical physicists to develop optimal treatment plans for cancer patients. • Utilize advanced computer software and imaging techniques to calculate radiation dose distributions. • Assist in the simulation process by accurately outlining treatment fields and determining patient positioning. • Perform quality assurance checks on treatment plans and monitor treatment parameters. • Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of treatment plans, calculations, and patient data. • Stay updated with the latest advancements in radiation therapy equipment and treatment planning techniques. • Work closely with the radiation therapy team to ensure effective coordination and delivery of patient care. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in medical dosimetry or a related field. • Certification by the Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board (MDCB) is required. • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Dosimetrist in a radiation therapy department. • Proficiency in treatment planning software (e.g., Eclipse, MIM, and Aria) and imaging studies (e.g., CT, MRI, PET). • Strong mathematical and analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in calculations. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Nice-to-haves • Experience with treatment planning systems and familiarity with various radiation therapy modalities (e.g., external beam, brachytherapy). • Knowledge of radiation safety principles and regulations.
