The Category Analyst role involves generating data and insights to support category management and sales projects, including quality control of data and building dashboards. Responsibilities Provide analytical support for category management and sales projects and initiatives utilizing various CPG and Retailer data sources and tools Responsible for quality control of data sources and ensuring accuracy of deliverables , often requiring engagement with other BI associates and data/tool vendors Build and update weekly and monthly dashboards and provide insights Participate in the development of sales presentations incorporating syndicated data and other sources of data that address business issues Work closely with business managers to ensure quality results are delivered Keep abreast of clients KPIs, strategies, innovation, and other important information Skills Bachelor's Degree preferred 1-3 years of related work experience Demonstrate an intermediate degree of proficiency in Windows and related software applications including Excel and PowerPoint Able to understand and apply basic math and CPG principles in achievement of assigned work Effectively communicate and interact with others and work effectively within a team Knowledge of Power BI and advanced macros would be a strong asset Experience with retailer POS, syndicated data, and/or category/space management tools would be an asset Demonstrates a drive for results, pursuing assigned tasks with energy and a desire to achieve Benefits Flexible scheduling options Company Overview Acosta brings simplicity to retail sales.
