About the position Performs clinical auditing and data abstraction of patient records in support of Sentara hospitals clinical improvement and patient safety initiatives, regulatory requirements and CMS national initiatives. Results of audits and identified trends are reviewed with Clinical Nurse Specialists, unit-assigned clinical staff, Performance Improvement staff, and physician quality task forces. Responsibilities • Performs clinical auditing • Data abstraction of patient records • Reviews audits and identified trends with Clinical Nurse Specialists, unit-assigned clinical staff, Performance Improvement staff, and physician quality task forces.
