Business Process Improvement Advisor

The Business Process Improvement Advisor will enhance the product development lifecycle, ensuring efficient workflows and cross-functional collaboration to deliver products on time and within budget. Responsibilities Guide and optimize the end-to-end product development process, from ideation to post-launch review, across the Luminaires portfolio Assist with developing stage-gate frameworks and decision checkpoints to improve speed-to-market without sacrificing quality Create and maintain process documentation, templates, and training materials to ensure consistency and scalability Perform process audits and post-mortems to identify bottlenecks and propose corrective actions Monitor KPIs such as cycle time, cost variance, and quality metrics—then use insights to propose continuous improvement Stay ahead of industry best practices and emerging tools to keep our systems cutting-edge Partner with Portfolio team to drive cross functional collaboration, calendar and cadence for product development strategy Skills Bachelor's degree in Business or Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Economics or a related field 1 to 3 years of applicable experience required Exposure to managing product development processes in a manufacturing, technology, or consumer goods environment Familiarity with PLM software (e.g., Arena, Windchill, or similar) and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, Smartsheet) Proficiency with Microsoft suite tools such as Teams, SharePoint, Excel, etc Understanding of stage-gate methodologies, agile principles, and lean product development A collaborative mindset with the ability to influence without direct authority Analytical skills to interpret data and translate it into actionable process improvements Excellent communication skills—able to bridge technical and non-technical teams Experience with business intelligence tools such as Power BI Experience with Smartsheet, Teams, SharePoint Familiarity with CRM systems and data management practices Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools Benefits Comprehensive health benefits Generous PTO policy Health care Dental coverage Vision plans 401K benefits Commissions/incentive compensation Company Overview Acuity Inc.
