Associate Attorney (Remote/Hybrid)

The role involves handling various litigation matters from inception to resolution, providing hands-on experience in legal strategy, research, and case management. Responsibilities Gain immediate hands-on experience handling a variety of litigation matters involving wrongful death, premises liability, personal injury, construction, breach of contract/business disputes, and more Handle every aspect of your cases including legal strategy, research, drafting pleadings and motions, managing discovery, arguing motions in court, attending mediations, and trial Work with a diverse range of clients, including individuals, businesses, and organizations Collaborate closely with team members and have the opportunity to be mentored by experienced partners Skills 1+ years of experience in civil litigation in a law firm environment Skilled in conducting legal research, drafting pleadings and motions, propounding and responding to discovery, as well as interfacing directly with clients and opposing counsel Exceptional communication and advocacy skills along with a client-focused mindset and a passion for achieving successful outcomes Desire and/or ability to manage a caseload independently, while also working collaboratively with team members Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school Admission to the State Bar of California Remote or hybrid flexibility depending on experience. Remote candidates must reside within commuting distance of either our San Diego, CA or Encinitas, CA office for occasional in-person meetings and collaboration Experience taking and defending depositions, arguing motions and attending mediations Trial experience is a plus!
