API Security Engineer

At EPAM Systems, we are looking for an ambitious and talented API Security Engineer to join our high performing team. We need an individual who has the technical knowledge and experience to ensure our APIs are secure and up to the highest standards. Our ideal candidate should have a passion for security, and the ability to identify risks and develop solutions to counter them.The successful candidate must have a degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, and have extensive experience in API security engineering. In addition, they should have a good understanding of software development and scripting languages, such as Java, JavaScript, and Python, as well as experience with authentication protocols, such as OAuth2, SAML, and OpenID Connect. Knowledge of web application security and security protocols such as TLS/SSL is also essential.We are looking for someone who is self-motivated and detail-oriented, with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills are a must, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. If this sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you! Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and maintain API security solutions to protect against risks and vulnerabilities. Monitor and analyze application performance and security metrics to identify security issues and recommend solutions. Implement authentication protocols such as OAuth2, SAML, and OpenID Connect. Develop and deploy security protocols such as TLS/SSL. Identify security risks and develop countermeasures. Collaborate with development teams to ensure secure coding practices and security standards are met. Research and recommend security tools and best practices. Troubleshoot security issues and maintain security logs. Stay up-to-date with security trends and technologies. Create and maintain documentation for security procedures.
