We are seeking a highly skilled and autonomous Data Engineer with experience in AI technologies to join our multicultural team. This role combines data engineering expertise with applied AI, focusing on Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), semantic search, and AWS services. You will contribute to both maintaining existing solutions and supporting new AI-driven initiatives. What is this position about? Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and AI-powered retrieval systems. Support the implementation and optimization of semantic search, RAG workflows, and prompt engineering strategies. Ensure data quality, testing coverage, and system reliability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to deliver AI-based solutions. Participate in system migrations and continuous improvement initiatives. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in production environments. Strong proficiency in Python . Experience with AWS services : S3, Lambda, API Gateway (required), Bedrock and Bedrock Knowledge Bases (desirable). Knowledge of RAG pipelines , semantic search , embeddings , and prompt engineering . Familiarity with OpenSearch or similar search engines. Experience with unit and integration testing . Understanding of data modeling and NoSQL databases (DynamoDB desirable). Knowledge of Kafka (desirable). Experience with Visual Studio via SageMaker (plus). Autonomous and proactive with strong problem-solving abilities. Pragmatic, adaptable, and able to work under pressure. Excellent teamwork and communication skills in a multicultural environment. Strong troubleshooting skills in fast-paced settings. What about languages? You will need excellent written and verbal English for clear and effective communication with the team. How much experience must I have? In order to thrive in this role, you must have at least 5+ years of experience in similar roles.
